The materials on this page should answer many of the questions you may have about your campaign, but it is not comprehensive. It is your responsibility, as a candidate, to follow all relevant Florida election laws and local charters that might have a bearing on your filing or your qualifications to run for office.

Financial Reporting

Candidates, Political Committees and Political Party Executive Committees are required to submit regular financial reports, following the deadlines specified by the Florida Division of Elections.  

Candidate Petitions

Candidates have the option of collecting petitions in lieu of paying a qualifying fee to appear on the ballot. The number of petitions required varies by office. You'll find the requirements on the Qualifying page of our website.

Legal notices, including notices of Logic and Accuracy Testing and Canvassing Board meetings and activities, are posted on our Public Notices page.
